Making Arizona Safe
For Everyone

Justice for all.

Arizonans for Effective Public Safety believes in a safer Arizona grounded in accountability, compassion, and proven solutions.

Our Vision

Focus Areas

  • A statue in front of the Arizona State Legislature in Phoenix, with three flagpoles flying the American flag, the state flag of Arizona, and another flag. Palm trees and a clear blue sky are visible.

    Public Policy & Advocacy

Our policy priorities focus on investing in what works and divesting from what doesn’t:

Shift funding away from the most expensive and ineffective public safety policies.

Invest in solutions like crime labs, cold case units, missing persons resources, community based violence intervention, and modern technology that provides answers to families.

We believe every dollar should go toward solutions that actually increase safety and deliver justice.

  • People sitting in a row during a presentation or class, some reading notebooks and taking notes.

    Support Survivors

Our Circles of Care are safe, restorative spaces that bring together those most impacted by homicide and missing persons cases. These circles provide community connection and support.

AEPS offers access to Community-Based Victim Advocates, independent support people who walk alongside survivors outside of the traditionally embedded criminal legal system advocates.

AEPS maintains an up-to-date resource database designed specifically for families seeking trauma support and guidance for loved ones of all ages coping with loss.

  • University classroom with students seated at desks listening to panel of four speakers at front of room, American flag visible on left, whiteboard behind panel, red wall background, modern lighting.

    Public Awareness & Education

AEPS is exposing the truth about Arizona’s public safety system—what’s working, what’s broken, and who’s paying the price.

By combining hard data with real stories from survivors and communities impacted by violence, we’re calling out the high costs of failed policies and demanding smarter solutions, especially for families affected by homicide.
